An opportunity exists to invest in Impossible Foods. Founded in 2011, and headquartered in Redwood City, California, Impossible Foods uses haem from the roots of soy plants to mimic the texture and colour of ground beef. As a plant based product, the Impossible Burger contains a broad range of vitamins and minerals, comparing favourably with beef.

Confirming the increased awareness and popularity of the Impossible Burger, the company has recently inked a deal with fast food giant Burger King to supply a meatless burger (the “Impossible Whopper”) with a planned roll out to all 7,300 U.S. locations by the end of the year. Impossible Foods is already a supplier to 7,000 restaurants including Red Robin and White Castle, theme parks, college campuses and major airlines such as Air New Zealand. The company also makes a plant-based sausage product that started being tested on pizzas sold by Little Caesars restaurants in May 2019.
