The opportunity exists to invest in New Zealand farmland through the Natural Farm Foods Limited Partnership ("NFF").

NFF will be managed by Farm Ventures Limited (“Farm Ventures”), a farm investment and property supervision business. Its core skills are managing Agri-property investments for investors, and providing governance, project management and farm supervision with systems and procedures. Farm Ventures incorporates environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) principles into its investment practices.

The first investments of NFF will be into three cherry orchards for which SPA's have been agreed and that will be leased to proven operators. Approx $4m will be required to complete these acquisitions. NFF also has the opportunity to purchase two mature, well performing dairy farms.

With the projected world growth in demand of naturally grown plant and pasture-based food, farmland is a real asset class that can provide cash returns, productivity capital gains, and a degree of inflation protection. Returns are expected to be closely correlated with the applicable diversified agricultural commodity prices, plus niche market premiums over the long term.

NZ’s farming industry has a specific bias towards naturally grown permanent crop, plant and pasture-based production, also being free-range. NZ’s farming practices are cost efficient due to the benign climate, high percentage use of pasture production and self-contained resources. The environment suits multiple diversified natural farm food types of production in horticulture, meat, and milk.

Global demand is rising for natural and traditional farming products delivered through a safe high-quality traceable supply chain that consumers trust. For example, taking ruminants off their natural pasture based diet and fattening them on grain or other feedstuffs can diminish the nutritional and health value of the meat and milk.

NFF will focus on natural food products which are part of the higher value supply chains, which demonstrate food safety and traceability systems, and care for people, the environment, animal welfare, and sustainability of production, and communities.

Projected return comprising an expected 6% per annum cash return before tax and valuation movements, after establishment and management fees, plus capital value increase potential from productivity improvements, capital expenditure, and potential market gains.

Minimum investment is $50,000.
